The Government and people of Grenada are getting ready to Welcome Home Kirani James – Grenada’s Olympic Gold Medalist.
He will arrive on Thursday, August 30th, at about 8:00p.m.
A welcome ceremony will be held at the Maurice Bishop International Airport. Everyone is invited; the celebration will start at 7p.m.
On Saturday, September 1st – a Thanksgiving Ceremony is scheduled to be held at 9:30a.m., at Kirani James Boulevard, followed by a massive island-wide motorcade along the western main road (passing through Gouyave, Sauteurs, Grenville, St. David and on to the National Stadium) for a National Celebration Rally.
Saturday, September 1st, is also Kirani’s birthday; a massive surprise is planned for him.
