Visit Grand Etang National Park and volcanic crater lake where if you are lucky you will enjoy a chance encounter with mischievous Mona monkeys.
Stop and browse at the Eastern town of Grenville – better known at Rainbow City – famous for its fish and nutmegs ! Head on to Belmont Estate and the Grenada Chocolate factory where you have the option of sampling before buying some of their tree to bar, delicious, dark, organic chocolates. If you are hungry and haven’t packed a a picnic, you may want to stay for a delicious plantation lunch at Belmont – reasonable rates and great taste!
Close by is another tasting adventure – for a small fee you can enjoy sampling over-proof rums at 200 year old River Antoine water-powered rum distillery. This distillery uses raw cane to make their powerful rums!
Head south along the picturesque eastern side of Grenada, stopping at La Sagesse for an optional swim – this is guaranteed to be refreshing.
Enjoy evening views or an impromptu stop at Nimrod’s bar in the picturesque fishing village of Woburn with views of Calivigni Island on the return journey
