Full Tour Description

After a scenic drive through the Grand Etang rainforest, this private Grenada hiking excursion offered by Caribbean Horizons takes you along steep fern-lined hiking trails studded with volcanic rocks. You’ll pass spice trees and tropical flowers along the way, and listen out for birds, monkeys, gurgling streams and the thunderous falls as you get closer. Stop to admire two of the seven falls that comprise St Margaret’s Falls, known locally as ‘Seven Sisters’. After the hike, take a drive through cocoa and banana plantations and flower farms as the tour heads east to Grenville town. Throughout the tour, your Caribbean Horizons guide will regale you with stories of Grenada’s folklore and local traditions, as you pass through colourful villages. Time permitting, you can stop at a local bar for a quick drink! Lastly, enjoy a swim at La Sagesse, a beautiful black and white sand beach revealing the island’s volcanic origins. This is a birding hotspot, with many migratory birds frequenting the beach. On the return journey to St George’s, stop to take in the panoramic views from Egmont Point, overlooking a deep harbour providing shelter to yachts.
