Full Tour Description

This private Grenada excursion takes you to many of the island’s northern delights. Start with a scenic drive through the Grand Etang rainforest, climbing to 1,900 ft (579m) above sea level. Keep a look out for the mischievous Mona monkeys and visit the volcanic crater lake in the heart of the forest reserve. Pass through cocoa and banana plantations and flower farms on the drive to Grenada’s second largest town, Grenville. Next, stop at the River Sallee sulphur springs, famous for their healing properties. Continue north passing a 200-year old water-powered rum distillery on the way to Levera National Park. One of the island’s most important wildlife habitats, here you can relax and enjoy a swim in the sea. Throughout the day your guide will regale folklore stories and anecdotes about Grenada’s culture and traditions as you pass through colourful villages. You can choose to bring a picnic along or stop for a bite to eat along the way. You might want to stop at a local bar and sample the local rum or enjoy a quick swim at one of the waterfalls on the return journey. On this private tour the time is yours, so the choice is yours!
